Fractal Admitted to UTXO Alliance
Fractal Network is pleased to announce that it has been admitted to the UTXO Alliance. Formed between Cardano, Input-Output Global, Ergo Platform, Nervos, and Topl, the Alliance is focused on making the UTXO model more secure, reliable and faster. Committed to solving instrumental questions about how data is transferred between different blockchain environments, Alliance members aim to grow user adoption and participation, expand applicable use cases and educate and inspire mainstream users.
Fractal — a UTXO-chain operator leveraging a proprietary Tendermint consensus for it’s Proof of Stake blockchain — is joining the alliance to bring additional strategic vision, marketing and Bitcoin expertise necessary to further accelerate the resurgence of interest in bitcoin. With Ordinals, Inscriptions, Runes and the Nervos CKB’s RGB++ protocol enhancements, the technical requirements and social interest for a resurgence of interest in the UTXO are manifest.
“Regardless if it’s Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano or Solana, blockchains are built on communities.” Sam Harrison, CEO of Discreet Labs and Head of the Fractal Network said. “As we reach for interoperability, ensure cross-chain asset security, and leverage tokenization on bitcoin — a larger group of UTXO supporters pulling together will accelerate the process of finding ideal solutions and bringing these solutions to market.” Sam continued, “as a good friend once told me: if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
“The timing couldn’t be better for Fractal joining the alliance.” said Steph Macurdy, Head of Research at Wolfram Blockchain Labs. “We have seen a growth of interest in UTXO models and Sam’s experience in building a functional alliance across potentially competitive organizations will be a valuable addition to the alliance.”
“It is great to see Fractal’s commitment to interoperability, and the growth and adoption of the UTXO model, as it benefits all those who are committed to the UTXO model,” said Rupert Whitehead, Developer Relations lead at fellow alliance co-founder and member, Input Output.
“This bull run will be all about unlocking the liquidity and power of bitcoin and UTXO.” Mr. Harrison finished. “It is a more secure architecture that allows security features like account abstraction and transaction obfuscation by default. As the usability improves, I am sure that a massive amount of value will be unlocked.”
Sam Harrison will be addressing the UTXO Alliance during their Town Hall on Friday, June 7th at 8:00 AM Pacific time.
